YOBLOG: A Diet Regimen Just 3 Days a Week

How about that! Every lazy bone’s answer to his prayers. The 3- day Military Diet (not to be confused with any armed forces of the government), literally arms you to tackle your weight in a now- on-now -off fashion. Essentially it propounds just that- regimented, calorie-controlled dieting 3 days in a week, followed by 4 days of a more relaxed calorie-intake.

Hotdog! Ice Cream!!

You’re not dreaming. Hotdogs and ice cream are part of the 3-day Military Diet. You’re thinking- I’m in luck. But don’t count on it. The diet is named for a particular reason. For 3 days, you’re on a stringently counted calorific intake, and there’s no evading it or cheating on it.

Oh, the perils of yo-yo weight

Has your struggle with the now waxing, now waning weight been a constant one? Not so with the 3-day Military Diet. It’s more the theory of intermittent fasting, which has been hailed as a particularly effective one, that is at play here. Essentially the very low- calorie plan for the first three days is the fasting period, and the following four days have a more relaxed plan, although the diet does not prescribe indulgences of any kind.

Losing 10 lbs. or more in a week

Really? You’d better believe it!

For those in a hurry, this 3-day Military Diet is a god-send. The strict adherence to the diet-plan needs a strong will. They do say that waiting for results is a bitter-sweet experience. However, the four days following the regimen allow you to take it a little easy. The fruits of the diet become evident very quickly and being able to fit into that little black number makes it all worthwhile.

No stress, no-fuss dieting

The utter simplicity of the 3-day Military Diet is the most attractive thing about it. No more stretching that budget buying supplements and expensive foodstuffs. Results are quick to show, and there are no long waiting periods, which in any case dishearten you long before they end. No fussy smoothies to whip up, no exotic ingredients to keep shopping for, and best of all, no taxing your limited culinary skills.

Who is the Military Diet suitable for?

This is not for the faint-hearted, definitely. For people who are looking for uncomplicated meal-plans, for those running short on time, for those who would rather follow a plan closely without having to rack their brains for menus, and even for those who don’t have large repositories in their pantries. Simple, everyday ingredients make the 3-day Military Diet easy to pursue. Couple that with quick results, and you’re well on your way to a skinnier persona.

All accounted for

That’s the calories we’re talking about. Here’s what you do eat the first three days:

Day 1 – Breakfast
1/2 Grapefruit
1 Slice of Toast – preferably wholegrain
2 Tablespoons of Peanut Butter
1 cup Coffee or Tea (with caffeine) No sugar. Only Stevia can be used if you can’t do without the sugary taste.

Lunch
1/2 Cup of Tuna or any lean protein substitute
1 Slice of Toast
1 cup Coffee or Tea (with caffeine)

Dinner
4 ounces of any meat or protein substitute (vegans or vegetarians can substitute tofu, nuts, lentils, Quorn, etc.)
1 cup of green beans
1/2 banana
1 small apple
1 cup of vanilla ice cream (try coconut milk ice cream. It’s yum!)

Day 2 – Breakfast
1 egg
1 slice of toast
1/2 banana

Lunch
1 cup of cottage cheese
1 hardboiled egg
5 saltine crackers

Dinner
4 oz. of any meat or protein (including hotdogs)/ substitute with tofu/cottage cheese
1 cup of broccoli
1/2 cup of carrots
1/2 banana
1/2 cup of vanilla ice cream

Day 3 – Breakfast
5 saltine crackers
1 slice of cheddar cheese
1 small apple

Lunch
1 hardboiled egg (or cooked however you like)
1 slice of toast

Dinner
1 cup of tuna
1/2 banana
1 cup of vanilla ice cream

Plan to intake plenty of water- but stay off the soda and other beverages. Snacks are totally off the diet map. It’s not known as the Military Diet for nothing. If you’ve managed to go the course of the three days, the next four will be easier, though not very much so. The calorie intake still needs to stay within 1500.

The 3-day Military Diet burns up fat by increasing your metabolism, and if you can keep to it assiduously, fabulous results wait just around the corner.
